Abstract

MARPA investigates the socio-environmental implications of the floating wind farm installed off the coast of Viana do Castelo at the local level, in order to create knowledge about a relevant element of the energy transition and the blue economy of the country and the EU. The focus is on the local responses to the sharing of the sea between energy generation and other activities, the environmental justice of the infrastructure and its socio-economic effects.
