public.project.abstract

The problematic of the present work focuses on the street as a space of transnational political action, built through a dialogue with the literature on urban spaces and transnationalism. The research will be carried out with Brazilian migrants in várias cidades- using ethnographic methods, including interviews, participant observation and social network analysis. This project constitutes a novelty at two levels: from the theoretical point of view it intends to articulate the literature on the street as a political space and the theories on migrant transnationalism. Simultaneously, it is a novelty because it allows to fill an existing gap on Brazilian migration that has not focused on forms of transnational political activism.
