Abstract

This research analyzes the experiences of Homeless People (PSSA) who are part of the Municipal Emergency Accommodation Center (CAEM) Santa Barbara, in Lisbon. Through collaborative methodologies, using multimodal resources, the objective is to understand the routines, interactions and problems of this group and the relationship with social responses. Lisbon has 3328 PSSA, mostly men, aged between 45 and 64 years old (ENIPSSA 2021). CAEM is an innovative and unprecedented response in Portugal, created within the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a Harm Reduction and Risk Minimization (RDMR) space for people with Addictive Consumption and Dependencies (CAD). This audience will be invited to participate in workshops (journalism, text and poetry, participatory video) to produce narratives and guide discussions on topics that interest them. Research promotes empowerment, visibility and production of knowledge about the social realities of this group.
