Biographical Note

Lara Silva Fagundes is a doctoral candidate in Anthropology (ISCTE-IUL/FCSH-NOVA). Master in Audiovisual and Multimedia. Graduated in Social Communication - Journalism from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM, Frederico Westphalen - RS, Brazil), where she integrated different academic projects, having participated in events on university extension and was a scholarship holder of the project "Agência Da Hora: multimedia information for the social development of Medio Alto Uruguai". She directed the documentary "Saravá Irmãos - child participation in Umbanda". Postgraduate in Audio and Video Production (FCSH-NOVA). He took part in volunteer projects in Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde, focusing on communication as a means of inclusion and social development. Currently, Lara Fagundes is dedicated to working with the homeless population in Lisbon and as a multidisciplinary professional, she has always sought to use communication as a means of visibility, empowerment, knowledge and social inclusion. Areas of research interest: visual anthropology, ethnographic film, documentary, representation and self-representation of realities, collaborative methodologies; collaborative ethnography, social inclusion, community development.
