public.project.abstract

This research establishes an analysis of what we call "cinema of poetry" or, the poetic instance of the moving image. Crossing different authors, it stimulates the disentangling of preconceptions attached to the notion of truth, seeking to demonstrate that the poetics, inherent in cinema, can be an important contribution to the "truth of the real", in the sense that it allows a more fluid and hybrid observation of the world, of life and of being. In a deeper investigation, we take as a case study the author Margarida Cordeiro and her work, partly made with António Reis. The cinematographic elements that both produced come from an incessant search for poetics that, through myth, they found in the Portuguese northeast region of Trás-os-Montes.
