Biographical Note

João Pedro Barriga, Lisbon, 1995. Director and researcher with a grant from FCT. PhD student in Artistic Studies - Art and Mediations at NOVA FCSH. In 2016 he graduated in Film Production at the Lisbon Theater and Film School, but dedicated himself to directing, having his films in festivals such as QueerPorto, Córtex, Caminhos do Cinema Português and Doclisboa. In 2019 finished his master's degree in Criticism, Curatorship and Theories of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Besides film projects, worked in video with artist Fernanda Fragateiro, Atelier P06, Associação Pédexumbo and the theater company 33Ânimos.
