In this project I propose an audiovisual ethnography of margin imaginaries of Amadora based on the elaboration around three cases of police violence: Ângelo Semedo's case (2001), Kuku's case (2009) Alfragide Squad's case (2015). Using the areas of Visual Anthropology, Critical Anthropology and Urban Anthropology, this investigation proposes to carry out with camera, and through image, an ethno-historical study of institutional practices of racism from three critical events. When studying specific events, the aim is not to obliterate their structural scope, but to think about them mainly from their social process, thus contributing to contemporary debates on territory, exclusion and institutional practices of racism in Portugal.
