Biographical Note
Graduated in Anthropology from NOVA University Lisbon and holds a master's degree in Applied Cultural Analysis from the University of Copenhagen. Since 2015 she has been working with refugees, first in a community support centre for refugees and asylum seekers in Copenhagen and later in academic research in both Denmark and Portugal. Her current interests lie in the uses and resources that refugees make of digital technologies and also in the policies of reception and integration of refugees in Portugal, in particular, in the dimensions of identity, emotional and well-being. Marta has been publishing on these topics, some works in open access, individually and also in co-authorship. She is a fellow of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology with the project "Identity, Emotions and Well-Being. Experiences of processes of reception and integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Portugal" - 2021.08196.BD and doctoral student integrated in CRIA - Center for Research Network in Anthropology, at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon. She has also been a member of the NOVA Asylum Policy Lab since 2022.
