public.project.abstract

The aim of this project is to analyse the processes of creation and use of tais (hand woven fabric), in the district of Lautém, Timor Leste. Taking into account a dialogical model, the circularity of tais is investigated from two axes: social/affective and environmental/regenerative. Through an ethnographic approach, the research aims to produce a reflection on circular processes that influence the creation and use of tais, as well as broadening and intersecting critical studies of heritage with issues of our times.
