Biographical Note

PhD candidate in the Doctoral Program in Anthropology: Policies and Displays of Culture and Museology, jointly promoted by ISCTE-IUL and NOVA FCSH, under which I am a research fellow at FCT. The purpose of the research is to analyse the processes of creation and use of tais (hand-woven textiles) in East Timor. Taking into account a dialogical model, the circularity of tais is investigated from two axes: social/affective and environmental/regenerative._x000D_ _x000D_ Since 2011, I have collaborating with projects focusing on heritage, community tourism and environmental conservation, in countries like India, Chile, Costa Rica, Indonesia, East Timor, Laos and Portugal. Noteworthy are the investigations about the paintings of Patuas in West Bengal, with Mapuche communities in the Araucania Andina and the researches in the island of Nusa Penida and in East Timor.
