The main goal of the project is to understand the attitudes and experiences resulting from the reintroduction of the Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus), in Portugal, namely: 1) opinions and positions of the cattle breeders in relation to lynx presence and to livestock damage due to wild predators in general; 2) experiences and encounters of local people with the lynx, deepening their knowledge about the species and their opinion about the reintroduction in the municipality of Mértola; 3) description of visits at the lynx zoo exhibit in Lisbon and analysis of the emotions and knowledge of visitors about the species.
