The project “Exploring the role of raw materials in Portuguese ceramic crafts to bring Lepierre's legacy to the future/2LEGACY”, one of four approved in the 3rd Edition of the IN2PAST 2024/2025 Exploratory Project Financing Competition, seeks to explore strategies based on traditional knowledge, that value heritage and regenerate artisanal production, with the cities of Estremoz and Barcelos serving as “living laboratories”. The multidisciplinary team of this project is led by researcher Mathilda Larsson Dias Coutinho (HERCULES Laboratory – University of Évora / IN2PAST), and co-ordinated by Patrícia Moita (HERCULES – UÉvora / IN2PAST). Also on the team are Massimo Beltrame and Catarina Pereira Miguel Cabral (HERCULES – UÉvora / IN2PAST), Isabel Maria Fernandes (Lab2PT - Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory – University of Minho / IN2PAST) , Sónia Mota Ribeiro (CRIA-Center for Research Network in Anthropology – Faculty of Social and Human Sciences - NOVA FCSH / IN2PAST), Eduarda Rovisco (CRIA – Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa / IN2PAST), João Pedro Veiga (CENIMAT/i3N – NOVA FCT), and Márcia Vilarigues and Marta Castelo, from Vicarte – NOVA FCT.
