Biographical Note

PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina/UFSC, working with the research groups NAUI - Urban Dynamics and Heritage Cultural and GESTO - Study Group on Orality and Performance. Developed different projects in the field of cultural heritage, as a PRODOC/Unesco consultant, in coordination of research and cultural projects, in processes of INRC/Iphan (National Inventory of Cultural References), in the instruction of the registration of fandango caiçara as Brazilian cultural heritage and in its later safeguard. He is a professor at the Federal Institute of Education and Technology of Paraná, where he works as a professor in the area of History and Anthropology together with the Licentiate in Social Sciences course, it also integrates the NEABI - Nucleus of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies, composing from addition to the IFPR hetero-identification boards. In 2018, he completed his doctoral thesis entitled: “By the strings of the viola, in the curves of the fiddle: An ethnography of the caiçara musical making movements”, which received an honorable mention by the Sílvio Romero/CNFCP/IPHAN Award. It acts as a partner of different bodies, especially in the which concerns issues related to intangible heritage and the right to the territory of traditional populations on the coast of Paraná, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. is currently as counselor of the Ombudsman of the Public Defender of Paraná.
