Biographical Note
Social researcher, writer and lecturer. Post-Doctorate in Social and Legal Sciences at Universitat de Barcelona and in Sociology at UFPE. PhD in Anthropology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), having been a Visiting Researcher at Università di Roma La Sapienza, Urbaniana University, Institut Catholique de Paris, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) and Columbia University, New York City. He is an Integrated Researcher at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), at the Center for Research Network in Anthropology (CRIA) and Postdoctoral Researcher at Heidelberg University. He was carried out Empirical researches in more than 30 countries. He was a UNESCO consultant on Education and Ethnic-Racial Equality in Latin America. He has books, book chapters and articles published in more than 10 countries. He has experience in the field of Social Sciences and International Relations, with an emphasis on Geopolitics, National Sovereignty and supranational authorities, acting mainly on the following themes: 1) International Migration, 2) European Union, 3) Sociology of Religion, 4) Information Technology and Social Media, 5) Health and Bioethics, 6) Ethnographies of Capitalism. Recently, he has investigated the following themes: Transhumanism, Biotechnologies, Human–Nonhuman relations and Artificial Intelligence.
