Currently attends the PhD program in Anthropology: Politics and Images of Culture and Museology in the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal), with a research project about memory and identity of the fishing community from Caxinas (Vila do Conde) through the analysis of a “imagined museum” by the population. Laura has already worked with memory and safeguarding of the community's heritage from the fishing community of the São Francisco River (Brazil) and, since her masters, dedicates herself to the northern coast communities of Portugal.
