Biographical Note

Javier Seijo (PhD Political Science) is a political scientist and Professor in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), postdoctoral researcher at EqualSeaLab (USC), collaborator at Fundación Lonxanet para la Pesca Sostenible (FLPS). Javier has publications and collaborations in the field of blue justice, ecosystem services, democratization of public management in common goods, organizational change processes, gender inequality and the transformation of governance in political-administrative processes of open government, democratic innovation and adaptive co-management. In Galicia he promotes the Ist Congress of Tourism Costa da Morte-Fin da Terra- Fin do Camiño; as a result of the Prestige oil tanker accident in Costa da Morte, with the College of Political Science, the Faculty of Political Science and the Faculty of Sociology of Galicia. He collaborates in the organization and promotion of the IasXornadas en Historia Política de Galicia. His approach to research is mixed, with a participatory-transformative and pragmatic focus.
