Jannis Kühne is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at NOVA FCSH and ISCTE-IUL and a Master in Urban Studies at the same institutions. He holds a degree in Urbanistik from the Bauhaus University of Weimar. In 2012/13, supported by DAAD PROMOS, spent an academic year in Rio de Janeiro at UFRJ IPPUR. In 2015 he interned at Ateliermob and completed the specialization course Collaborative Territories at ISCTE in 2016. As a master thesis he developed an ethnography of the Caravan for the Right to Housing. Currently he is studying the existing sociabilities in an innovative context of rehousing in which resettled people from the Jamaika neighbourhood and locals share the same urban and residential space in Seixal.
