Biographical Note
Forestal Technical Engineer from the University of Vigo (2007). Master in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2014, and Doctor in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2019. He spent time at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2013, at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017 and as a visiting researcher at CRIa in the year 2021 - 2022. Since 2017 he has been a professor of Anthropology at the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA). It researches the rural context of northern Portugal, mainly the Barroso, and some basins of the Brazilian Amazon, such as the Xingu, Iriri, Trombetas and Tapajós rivers. Winner of the Vicente Risco Social Sciences Award in 2018.
