Biographical Note
Holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP). Is an associate professor of Anthropology at the Institute of Human Sciences and Letters (ICHL) at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). Has dedicated to the field of Anthropology of Religions, focusing, at first, on neo-Pentecostal groups, and, in the last ten years, on religions of African origin in Brazil, in particular, Umbanda. Is currently interested in the issue of religious transnationalization, more precisely, the case of Umbanda in Portugal.
