A doctoral student of the Post-Graduate Program in Anthropology at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Master’s and graduation in Social Sciences at the Federal University of Bahia. During his undergraduate, he held a scholarship for three years from the Program for Scientific Initiation, while participating in the project “The Ethics of Candomblé”. During his master’s research he undertook studies into African religions, specifically investigating the cult of babá egum, dealing with themes of the ancestrality, kinship and care. Currently he is undertaking research into questions of gender, specifically related to themes of masculinity and race relations.
