Catarina Belo won a first-class bachelor of honours degree in Film from Edinburgh Napier University. During this time, she engaged in a semester of overseas studies at Deakin University, Australia. From her bachelor originated the thesis “Female Depictions in Bollywood Cinema and in Satyajit Ray’s Devi and Charulata: An Analysis” and the short film “Rise”. She completed a Masters in Anthropology at NOVA FCSH, Lisbon whilst working for a portuguese NGO as a local coordinator and researcher for EU (Horizon) and Erasmus + funded projects. Her master’s dissertation is entitled “Portraits of a Peripheral Generation: Non-Metropolitan Millennials and Lifestyle in the North of Portugal”.
