Biographical Note
I completed my PhD thesis on Afro-Cuban religiosity and divination in 2011, at the Department of Social Anthropology, University of Edinburgh, UK. Since then I have been a postdoctoral research in Portugal, funded by the FCT and affiliated in CRIA. I am the co-editor of Beyond Tradition, Beyond Invention: Cosmic Technologies and Creativity in Contemporary Afro-Cuban Religions (2015) and of Articulate Necrographies: Comparative Perspectives on the Voices and Silences of the Dead (2019), as well as numerous other publications in peer-reviewed volumes and scientific journals.
