Anabela Carvalho (PhD, University College London) is Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the University of Minho. She has an extensive experience of research on climate change communication and on the climate discourses of various social actors and the media in various countries. In the last few years, her research has focused on citizens’ engagement with climate change and sustainability, especially conditions for political engagement. She has had editing responsibilities in several academic journals and is co-founder of the Science and Environment Communication Section of ECREA and the International Environmental Communication Association.
