Abstract

The Children and Youth Intervention Centre action, originated as an application from the Trampolim E8G Project, was created as a response to an identified problem, which is related to emotional and relational difficulties of children and young people with imprisoned parents. It consists of the dynamization of an inter-institutional and multidisciplinary work group (made up of organizations from the consortium and informal organizations: Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia, Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra, DGRSP, Plataforma Children of Imprisioned Parents, Projeto Mediadores e Interculturais), with the mission of researching, deepening diagnosis, namely through participatory diagnosis methodologies, as with the use of Advocacy, being possible to create scientific products, that fundament the intervention, as well as, if justified to present proposal to change current social policies regarding the rights of children with imprisoned fathers and mothers. It is also intended to contribute to the autonomy and formalization of this NIIJ as a network of informal partnerships to ensure the sustainability of the action.
