The project Roman Lisbon | Felicitas Iulia Olisipo was distinguished last October 16th with the Património.PT 2021 Award for Best Cultural Touring Strategy, which recognizes good practices in the national cultural heritage sector.
According to the project's official website, it "seeks to aggregate, within a coherent whole, and promote, in an integrated manner, the present scientific knowledge resulting from the multiple campaigns of archaeological excavations in the city of Lisbon, as well as the research in the different Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area, Universities and Research Centres.
Simultaneously, the Lisboa Romana | Felicitas Iulia Olisipo project aims to communicate this information and promote the archaeological sites in the city of Lisbon and the Municipalities of the Metropolitan area by using the new digital technologies, so present in modern societies, from the perspective of promoting tourism related to cultural heritage.
The project will last between 2017 and 2023, with several activities and events throughout different years."
CRIA is a partner in the project through the participation of Francisca Alves Cardoso, researcher and coordinator of LABOH – Laboratory of Biological Anthropology and Osteological Human Remains.
We congratulate the project team for the distinction, which results from a collaborative work of excellence among all the partners involved.
