I, Lucybeth Camargo de Arruda, have a degree in Social Communication, a specialization in Introduction to Philosophy, a specialization in Anthropology: Theories and Methods, a master degree in History from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (2003) and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas ( 2012). I am an associate professor at the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará. I have experience in the areas of Anthropology and History, with emphasis on Visual Anthropology, Anthropology and History, working mainly on the following topics: historical ethnography; anthropology, photography and history; indigenous history and indigenism; Ethno-history and indigenous policy of the Indian Protection Service (SPI).
