Biographical Note
Emiliano Dantas holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University Institute of Lisbon/ISCTE-IUL. He holds a master's degree in Anthropology from the Federal University of Pernambuco/UFPE and a degree in Social Communication with especialization in Photography from Faculdades Integradas Barros Melo/AESO. He was a professor at AESO, where he taught courses of Photography, Film and Audiovisual, and Visual Arts. He was a fellow at ISCTE for three years, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, to develop the projects of the Learning Workshops and technical and pedagogical activities at the Audiovisual Laboratory of CRIA. He taught, as a guest assistant, in the Degree in Education Program in Anthropology at ISCTE and in the postgraduate program in Digital Visual Cultures at the same university, between 2018 and 2020. In 2018 and 2019 he held photographic exhibitions of his anthropological research works in Brazil, Cuba, Portugal and São Tome and Principe.
