Biographical Note
Anna Fedele is a senior researcher at CRIA - Lisbon University Institute. She has been a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University (2010), the European University Institute (2013) and the University of Lausanne (2014). Her research focuses on the intersections of gender, religion, and corporeality. She is the author of “Looking for Mary Magdalene” (Oxford University Press, 2012) that received the Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion of the American Academy of Religion. She has co-edited “Encounters of Body and Soul in Contemporary Religious Practices” (Berghahn Books, 2011) and “Gender and Power in Contemporary Spirituality” (Routledge, 2013).
