Biographical Note
PhD in Social Anthropology (ISCTE, 2000). A former lecturer at the Department of Economics and Sociology at UTAD (1988-2001), is a professor at the Department of Anthropology at NOVA FCSH (since 2001). She was member of the Executive Board of CRIA (2009- 2015). Specialist on environmental anthropology and ethnoecology. She coordinated and participated in different research projects, and published on the relationships between humans, non-humans, and the environment, questioning heritage and biodiversity conservation programs, in Portuguese and African contexts.
