Rosa Maria Perez, researcher at CRIA - Research Network Centre in Anthropology, received a medal of scientific merit on the 28th of June, as part of the Science 2021 Meeting, promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology in collaboration with Ciência Viva and the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
Rosa Maria Perez is an anthropologist and integrated researcher at CRIA-ISCTE, where she has been doing extended research in India with women and Dalits. She is Guest Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, where she has been teaching and conducting research since 2011.
She is a consultant to the UN Commission for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment and to European Councils on Asia.Her latest book in English, Transdiciplinary Ethnography in India: Women in the Field, co-edited with Lina M. Fruzzetti will be published by Routledge next August.
The edition of the annual meeting of science, technology and innovation in Portugal takes place between 28 and 30 June 2021 in hybrid format - at the Pavilhão dos Congressos in Lisbon and online.
