Linda Melo has a degree in Anthropology and a Master in Medical Anthropology. She is currently a PhD student in Biological Anthropology at the Department of Life Sciences in the University of Coimbra. She is a Fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT-SFRH / BD / 130165/2017) and is developing her research work at the Center for Anthropology and Health Research (CIAS). Her thesis focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to funerary practices, anthropological, archaeological and biochemical data of human bone samples from the Chalcolithic, Bronze Age and Ist Iron Age in a specific geographic area, in Baixo Alentejo.
