The project "Mapping Threatened Transhumant Routes in Southwestern Angola", funded by the British Museum as part of its Endangered Material Knowledge Programme, aims to map transhumance routes in Southwestern Angola, as practiced by the Kuvale and other groups, as well as the associated material and immaterial practices, over two years. The project is hosted by CRIA and will be carried out in partnership with ISCED-Huíla in Lubango, Angola. Coordinated by Ruy Llera Blanes (PI) and including Angolan partners Helder Alicerces Bahu and António Válter Chisingui, the project will generate an open-access audiovisual repository for the Museum and, more broadly, will reflect on the past, present, and future of transhumance in Angola.
