BEROSE is an online international encyclopaedia of the histories of anthropology. With an international scientific committee, over eighteen research teams and a constantly expanding network of contributors from all continents, BEROSE is an open access digital humanities project that promotes high-quality open science. BEROSE contributes to the pluralization of disciplinary history by highlighting the past richness of World Anthropologies, and particularly the histories of anthropology in Brazil and Portugal. This hybrid encounter includes papers on ‘The Reinvention of the Encyclopedic Genre beyond Wikipedia’ (F. Rosa, CRIA/NOVA FCSH), the ‘History of Portuguese Anthropology and Ethnographic Archives’ (R. Cachado, CIES/IUL; S. Almeida, CRIA/NOVA FCSH), the ‘Histories of Anthropology in Brazil (F. Peixoto, USP), and ‘Transatlantic Histories of Anthropology’ (J. Leal, CRIA/NOVA FCSH).
