Abstract

This project tries to think about reinvention of indigenous identities in displacement context by their artistic and cultural practices in Latin American cities of major migratory flow. Through ethnographic method and audio-visual record with aymaras folkloric groups in São Paulo and Buenos Aires, we will think about the "reinvented indigenous cultures" (Bengoa, 2000) discursive and performative expressiveness so distant to them ancestral territories, their patrimonial processes, their relation with Estate power in both cities and countries. To do so, the work plan presented here is divided in three different phases, two of them articulated and the last one conclusive: 1) multi-sited and comparative ethnography about six aymaras folkloric groups, three in São Paulo and other three in Buenos Aires; 2) audio-visual record and film creation about each group thinking since the first step, the screenplay, until the last, the postproduction, with thesis members; 3) thesis publication with audio-visual articulations.
