Biographical Note
Vanessa Amorim holds a master in Anthropology from University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL). Nowadays she’s PhD candidate in the same institution, developing the project “Safar a vida: uncertainty, informality and crisis in Olhão and Setúbal fishing communities”. She belongs to COST Action OceanGov - Ocean Governance for Sustainability. Besides academic work Vanessa has collaborated with fisheries organizations and with an artistic and anthropologic project about portuguese seashore, named “Os Pescadores”.
