Marie Curie Fellow in Anthropology at Sapienza University of Rome. PhD in Social Anthropology (University of Bristol). Visiting Scholar at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina and University of Oxford. She has conducted research in the Vale do Amanhecer (Brazil, Europe), Afro-Brazilian religions (Brazil), and on Goddess Spirituality (UK, Italy). Her work focuses on spirit mediumship and healing, embodied knowledge, religious learning and sensory experience, body and self, and transnational religions. Author of the book 'Jaguars of the Dawn: Spirit Mediumship in the Brazilian Vale do Amanhecer' (Berghahn, 2020). She is co-coordinator of ‘HEAL - Network for the Ethnography of Healing’.
