Biographical note

Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology by the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas/Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH/UNL) and PhD in Anthropology (FCSH/UNL) with the thesis “The ‘Portuguese’ historical presence in Larantuka (16th-17th centuries) and its implications on the contemporary life of the inhabitants” (320p + Annex, open access at the FCSH/UNL Repository: She is an associated researcher at CRIA and she has been conducting research on populations of Southeast Asia, namely of East Timor and of Nusa Tenggara Timur (Eastern Indonesia), articulating two complementary fields of study: the historical presence of Portuguese in Asia and the ethnography and anthropology of Southeast Asian societies. Main topics of interest are the formations of hybrid identities, Eurasian communities.
