Degree in Social and cultural Anthropology by the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas/Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH/UNL), PhD Anthropology (FCSH/UNL) with the thesis The“Portuguese” historical presence in Larantuka (16 th-17th centuries) and its implications on the comtemporary life of the inhabitants, 320p + Annex. http://hdl.handle.net/10362/11402 ((open access at the FCSH/UNL Repository). Associated researcher at CRIA. Has been conducting research on populations of Southeast Asia, namely of East Timor and of Nusa Tenggara Timur (Eastern Indonesia), articulating two complementary fields of study: the historical presence of Portuguese in Asia and the ethnography and anthropology of Southeast Asian societies. Main topics of interest are the formations of hybrid identities, Eurasian communities.
