CRIA PhD student Graziele Neves da Silva was awarded second place in the ‘Other Social Sciences’ (Master’s) category at the 3rd edition of the FIBE Award — Brazil-Europe Integration Forum — for her dissertation Diversidade e inclusão de género nas empresas lusófonas: uma perspetiva comparada entre Brasil e Portugal, undertaken as part of her Master’s degree at NOVA FCSH.

The research provides a comparative analysis of gender diversity and inclusion policies and practices in companies in Portugal and Brazil, contributing to the debate on promoting equality within organisations across the Portuguese-speaking world.

Organised by the Brazil-Europe Integration Forum (FIBE), the prize recognises work that contributes to deepening cultural, economic, social and historical relations between Brazil and Europe, with a particular focus on Portugal and the other Portuguese-speaking countries. In its most international edition to date, the 3rd edition honoured researchers from Brazil, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg, awarding a total of six thousand euros to master’s dissertations and doctoral theses.
