Abstract

The present work is the result of an ethnographic investigation conducted between 2016 and 2017 in Germany on the universe of Brazilians who married Germans. Online surveys, individual interviews, participant observation and family histories were carried out, which allowed for a more complex image of the participants’ lives. This combination of methods made it possible to reflect on transnational marriages as producers of integration and intercultural dialogue. In this sense, I propose a study on transnational families and the relationchips with the complexity of the phenomenon of Brazilian migration in its intersectionality between gender, nationality, conjugality and affection.
