With a Communication Sciences background, Sandra Oliveira works professionally in the area since 1992 researching, writing and editing numerous articles and publications, videos and programs. At the same time, she began working and researching in global citizenship and community development areas in 2001. For her, an investment in visual anthropology is the basis for action-research projects with a strong practical component, using image and qualitative methodologies acquired training in qualitative and participatory image methodologies. She co-founded 4Change in 2010 a collaborative network working in communication, assessment and capacity building for the non-profit sector. She carried out action-research for DEEEP/CONCORD – European NGO Platform. Currently, she works as a consultant for the European Commission’s Education for Development (DEAR Programme). NAVA/LAVA member and collaborating researcher at CRIA since 2011.
