Biographical note

Degree in Social Anthropology from ISCTE (1994) and master in Anthropology: Heritage and Identities from ISCTE (1999) with the dissertation “Seasonality and Tradition: The Social Construction of Time in Ericeira”. Between 2000 and 2008, Rita Jerónimo da Silva worked as an anthropologist in the City Council of Odivelas. Since November 2008, she has been in the Direção Regional de Cultura de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, in the project to survey the region’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. She is currently a PhD student in the PhD programme in Anthropology at FCSH-UNL and an FCT grantee since April 2010. She is a researcher at CRIA.
