The bibliographic survey “Immigration and ethnic minorities in Portugal: a bibliography” is now available at CRIA’s website. It is framed by CRIA’s strategic plan, more specifically in what concerns its research group Circulation and Place-Making, which aims to contribute to debates on the distinct regimes of mobility in Portugal (immigration and emigration) and the production of places.
The main goal of this survey was to update the existing databases on the topic of migration and ethnic minorities in Portugal, thus contributing to enhance the knowledge on the literature produced during the last years. The bibliographic survey collated references on the scientific publications published between July 2008 and May 2016, along with their abstracts (or, in the latter’s absence, shorts excerpts). The bibliographic references followed the standard used by Machado et al. 2009 and Candeias et al. 2014.
The work was initiated in 2014 by the researcher Petra Kelemen (University of Zagreb) in the scope of a ERASMUS traineeship programme; and concluded by Inês Campeão Pereira Rocha in the second semester of the academic year of 2015/2016, in the frame of a curricular traineeship at CRIA, framed within the graduation course in Anthropology at the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
