Abstract

The present project addresses the recent transformations that are taking place in contemporary Italy, addressing them at the points of encounter between art, popular culture and politics, artist, authorities and everyday life and “migrants” and “Italians”. Yet, before I start delineating the main lines of this project I need to take a leap backwards and briefly describe the fieldwork that I have recently conducted in Rome and that has lead me to develop the present project.
