PhD student in Anthropology at the Federal Fluminense University (PPGA/UFF, Brazil) and an associate doctorate of the Centre Jacques Berque (CJB, Morocco). Member of the Institute for Comparative Studies in Institutional Conflict Management (INCT-InEAC) and of the Middle East Studies Centre (NEOM). He conducts ethnographic research among the Sunni Muslim community of Rio de Janeiro (SBMRJ), in the rural village of Sidi ‘Ali (Fez-Meknes region), in the Fez-Meknes region (Sidi ‘Ali and Fez) and the cities of Rabat and Safi. He works on the following topics: anthropology of religion, ritual and symbolism and political anthropology.
