Biographical note

Arlindo Horta graduated in Cinema at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema and, later, in Anthropology, at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas. He is the director of the short fiction film “Fotocuic” (2001), and the documentary “So Close to Silence” (2013), about asylum seekers in Portugal, which was his MA final project in Culturas Visuais with supervision of Catarina Alves Costa and Cristina Santinho. Currently, he is a PhD student in Antropologia: Políticas e Imagens da Cultura e Museologia (FCSH-UNL, ISCTE-IUL).
